Paris Air Show

Paris Air Show afholdes hvert andet år på Le Bourget lufthavne i Paris' nordøstlige udkant, og er en af verdens største luftfartsudstillinger. Den varer en uge med weekend i begge ender, og er egentlig mest en industrimesse, men der er normalt adgang for publikum på søndagene. Showet er meget bredt, og omfatter næsten alt hvad der kan flyve, lige fra UAV'er (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) og svævefly, privatfly, små forretningsfly, større forretningsfly, commutere, mindre og større mellemdistance passagerfly til de allerstørste passagerfly. Også den militære flyindustri er godt repræsenteret. Udstillingsarealet - både det der er under tag og det udenfor - er enormt. Selve flyshowet i år var meget bredt og alsidigt med de førnævnte typer, og også Patroulle de France var mødt op.

Det franske Air and Space Museum ligger iøvrigt på Le Bourget, og er åben året rundt. Her kan man se en Ariane raket og en lang række flytyper, bl.a. Concorde.

Paris Air Show is held every second year. It is among the largest airshows in the world and lasts 8 days. Actually it is an industrial exhibition which requires a pass, but there is public access on Sundays. The show is extremely wide-ranging and includes almost anything that can fly, civil as well as military. The exhibition space is huge - outdoors as well as indoors. The flying display this year included UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), gliders, private planes, business planes, commuters and a variety of passenger planes up to the Airbus 340-600. The military aircraft industry presented the Eurofighter, the French Rafaele, the Swedish SAAB Gripen, the well known Mirage 2000, a Czech trainer and some helicopters.

The French Air and Space Museum is located at Le Bourget and is open to the public around the year. The exhibition includes an Ariane space launcher and a wide variety of aircraft, among other the Concorde.
